The City of West Fargo is growing rapidly. Stewarding that growth matters.

Special assessments, property taxes, and incentives are the areas cities can work on to steward growth better.

I want to make West Fargo a place where families can buy a home and businesses can flourish. Retirees won't be taxed out of their home and can stick around to help raise the next generation.

Out of control special assessments and property taxes are causing families to think twice before they move to West Fargo. The long-term consequences of unmanaged growth is bankruptcy.

​

The city has become a bank. It holds the risk of business incentives as debt at the taxpayers expense. Specials, bonds, and intergovernmental loans outstanding debt in 2021 was $338 million dollars. This does NOT include the total debt.
